Track season is underway and the LHS teams are off to a fast start! Two school records have already fallen for the girls. A new record time was set in the 800m Sprint Medley. The 49 year-old record was 2.01.3. That 1976 team was made up of our very own Laura Jeanes (Prall), Julie Boswell, Sue Hunter & Jana Zinzer. The team of Karlee Hamaker (100), Elliott Kinder (100), Allyson Martin (200) & Taylor Henson (400) set the new record with a time of 1.59.96.
These four girls also combined to barely claim the LHS 4X100 record with a time of 54.18. The previous record was 54.84 set in 2019 by the team of Abby Martin, Kate Greenwood, Hailey Shelton & Pheaby Banister.
HUGE congratulations to these ladies on their new LHS records!
