Lamoni Hosts 2025 Career Day
On May 1, the Lamoni Community School District hosted its 2025 Career Day to help students explore future career paths and educational opportunities. The day was packed with engaging presentations, interactive sessions, and valuable networking opportunities that connected students with professionals from various fields.
The district was honored to welcome Dr. Soso Gabelaia from Graceland University as the event’s keynote speaker. Dr. Gabelaia delivered an inspiring talk on the importance of setting goals, embracing lifelong learning, and staying resilient in facing challenges. His message encouraged students to think broadly about their futures and to recognize the many pathways to success.
Throughout the event, students had the opportunity to meet with representatives from colleges, branches of the military, and various area businesses. College representatives provided insights into academic programs, admissions processes, and campus life, helping students understand their higher education options. Military recruiters offered information about service opportunities, scholarships, and training programs. Local business representatives shared firsthand knowledge about careers in healthcare, agriculture, technology, and skilled trades.
The energy throughout the event was positive and enthusiastic, as students eagerly engaged in discussions, asked thoughtful questions, and collected materials to help guide their future planning.
