Launch the media gallery 1 playerIn recognition of Earth Day on Wednesday, April 22nd, LCSD will host a Walking School Bus. School buses will run regular routes, but instead of dropping students off directly at school, they will drop off students at the bike trail on the corner of 7th Street and North Clark.
From there, students will walk or bike on the bike trail to school together.
Any student who wishes to join the Walking School Bus—either walking or riding their bike—should meet us at the corner of 7th and Clark between 7:25–7:30 a.m.
Our staff will be stationed at the drop-off point and along the trail to help supervise and support students during the walk.
This is a wonderful opportunity to promote physical activity, community spirit, and a positive start to the day. We look forward to seeing many of our students participating. In the event of rain, the walking school bus will be canceled.
