Back to School Fair
Our school is pleased to announce that we are trying a new adventure this up coming school year of 2017-2018. We are going to have a Back to School Fair. This will be held at the Lamoni Community Center from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Tuesday, August 1st. This fair will offer a variety of services.
All 9th graders are required to have a dental check up. We will have a dental hygienist on hand to provide dental check ups. It is a state requirement that 12th grade students have a meningococcal vaccination. Students in 7th grade are required to have a Tdap and a meningococcal. If your child is on Medicaid or Hawk-I, DCPH will offer the vaccination. If your child has insurance, CHCSI will be here to offer the same vaccination and file your insurance. Marion County Pubic Health will be offering lead screenings for all kindergarten students who qualify. Parents must bring their child’s Medicaid, Hawk-I or insurance card to qualify for these services.
We would like to offer gently used sports equipment, clothing and shoes. We would also like to offer gently used t-shirts, and jeans. There will be tables set up for other services like First Five, (a program for children birth to 5 years of age), Local Police will be giving away bike helmets and doing bike checks. BTC bank will have bags available for you to gather your supplies. Local churches will be present to tend to other needs like gently used books, games, and hygiene products. We will have face painting and some other entertaining games for younger students so parents can talk and shop. The Safe coalition will be offering walking tacos.
If you have any questions, or you have any gently used items or clothing to donate, please go to the high school area and when you first go in the front doors there will be a large box with my name on them. Leave whatever you have and I can collect them. Thank you so much. Hours will be Monday thru Thursday 7 am to 4 pm
