October is a Busy Month for Preschool
Leep Preschool has been learning about fire safety. We were able to take a trip to the Lamoni fire station. Firefighters Curt Shields, Peter Vogel, and Anthony Cray taught us more about fire safety. We talked about making a plan with our parents for a safe spot to go once away from the fire, and we learned about what the trucks, tools, and gear are for. We got to spray the hose, ride on the truck, and put on the gear.
We also traveled all the way to Cumming, Iowa, to visit Howell's Pumpkin Patch. We took a wagon ride out into the field where everyone got to pick a pumpkin. We also fed goats, played in corn, jumped, slid, pumped water, and pedaled tractors. It was a windy day and we were all worn out, teachers especially!
To finish off October, we will have a conservation lesson with Decatur County Naturalist, Kayla Clausen, and have our Fall parties.
