6th Grade Attends JA BizTown

This year the 6th grade students at Lamoni Middle School participated in a Junior Achievement program called JA BizTown. This is a multi-curricular unit that teaches skills in community and economics, financial literacy, business management, and job skills. The students work on preparation for several weeks. On May 12 they traveled to Des Moines to work with students from Martensdale-St. Mary's school within several businesses at BizTown, which is a simulation city. Everyone had a wonderful time and learned many skills that will be helpful in their future endeavors.
