Student Council/Sheriff's Department Raise Money for Toys for Tots

LCSD Student Council handing check from Toys for Tots fundraiser to Decatur County Sheriff's DepartmentOn Monday, November 27 the Lamoni Student Council helped raise money for the Decatur County Sheriff Department's Toys for Tots campaign. Prior to Thanksgiving break, Student Council member Brett Boswell went to all Home Rooms on Friday and got the word out to staff and students alike that, on the day back from Thanksgiving, staff could wear jeans if they donated $5 and students could donate $1 to wear a hat to help raise money for Toys for Tots. He also explained what the Toys for Tots campaign was all about. The students and staff overwhelmingly supported this cause by raising nearly three hundred dollars.
