Demon Happening (4/17)
Welcome back to the Demon Happenings where we keep you up to date on everything that’s going on here at LHS. Over the past week, Lamoni High School was fortunate enough to send five students to the state FFA Convention. Grace Martin, Kallie Kinney, Jessica Elliot, Justice Davis, and Cameron Thorpe all took the week off of school to learn new leadership and agricultural skills that they can apply to the rest of their lives.
On Tuesday, the Lamoni Track teams ran hard at their respective meets, and the Boys Big Man 4x100 won their race. The Boys 4x400 got 2nd, which is a step up from their last meet.
On Thursday the Lamoni Boys and Girls Golf Team traveled to the Preserve on Lake Rathbun to compete against Moravia, Albia, and Mormon Trail. The boy’s team took a second place finish with a team score of 188, only to lose to Albia who shot a 166. The Demons will have a packed schedule this week with 3 meets spanning across 5 days.
During the week of April 10 to April 14, Lamoni Community Schools alumnus Mark Jones presented an animation workshop for Lamoni students. The workshop utilized iPads to create numerous animations by students using a variety of techniques.
