Lamoni Seniors Compete in their Last Demon Relays
Last night Lamoni competed in the Demon Relays. The boys took home 1st place with 160 points. Many of the athletes, both girls and boys, accomplished new personal records. All in all, the kids did a great job and represented the school and themselves very well. It was also senior night for Lamoni. This is the last year that Malori, Jack, Matthew, Odin, Brayden, and Javin will compete in high school track. They have accomplished many things while competing for Lamoni and always displayed great Demon PRIDE! Great job guys!
Girls Medal winners: Henson 1st high jump, 2nd 100m and 200m, Lloyd 2nd in 100 and 400 hurdles, Leonard 1st in discus, Paredes 2nd in High jump, 3rd in Distance Medley: Burton, Howell, Phelps, Paredes, 1st in Sprint Med: Lloyd, Burton, Howell, Pierschbacher, 1st and a new meet record of 4:33.21 in the 4x400: Paredes, Pierschbacher, Lloyd, Henson
Boys Results: 1st place finishes came from Javin Stevenson in Long Jump (19-10') and the 400 Meter Dash (53.33). Tariq Miller won the Discus with a throw of 124-06'. Tyson McDole won the mile in 5:01. The Distance Medley group of Kalvin Brown, Brayden Olson, Matthew Patience, and Tyson McDole earned first place (3:52). The 4x4 team also won with a time of 3:52 and that group consisted of Olson, Patience, Greenwood, and Savage.
