On Tuesday, November 15th, the High School Girls Basketball Jamboree at Wayne occurred.
They all played great, and they all did their best! They won the half, beating the Wayne Falcons by 6. Brianna, one of the Junior Basketball girls, said that she is very excited about the future season. Nice Job!
Then on Wednesday, Nov 16th, the wrestling team had their body fat testing to help them stay in good shape for the season to come. Luke Jones, one of Junior wrestlers, said that he is excited for this season and to continue to do what he loves.
Coming to the end of the week, on Thursday, Nov 17th, some of Lamoni Schools Ag students went to Graceland Ag Day. At the event the students learned about new advancements in agriculture and the jobs that are available in the Ag related fields. There were also different colleges that have jobs in the Ag field.
Also on Thursday, the Lamoni Band, Orchestra and Choir Concert started at 6:30. The band played a variety of fast upbeat songs and a few slow calming songs. The Choir sang lots of slow songs such as “Say Something” by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera. They all sang and played wonderfully. Everyone had a great time, and all the participants enjoyed sharing what they have been learning.
To end the week, on Friday, November 18th, we had JV/V Girls basketball vs. C.D at home. The girls suffered from a hard loss. They played as hard as they could and put up a good fight against the Leon Cardinals.
